Terms and refunds

1. Who we are

UniqKnow (Uniq Knowledge) is a business of Hallo Group (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/202529/07), a private company registered in South Africa. In these terms, "we", "us" and "UniqKnow" mean Hallo Group (Pty) Ltd trading as UniqKnow, and "you" means the person or business using the website or buying a product. You can reach us at hello@uniqknow.co.za.

By creating an account, downloading a free guide or buying a product, you agree to these terms. If you're buying for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept them on its behalf.

2. Your account

• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us a real email address. We use it to confirm your account, send receipts and help you if something goes wrong.
• We may suspend an account that's used to share files, commit fraud or abuse the website.

3. Prices and payment

• Prices are set in South African rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. US dollar, euro and pound prices are shown as a guide only; you're charged the rand price.
• Payments are processed by Paystack, in South African rand. If you pay with an international card, your bank converts the amount to your currency. We never see or store your full card details.
• We may change prices from time to time. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

4. Ebooks and digital guides

Delivery

After payment, your ebook is added to My library straight away and you can download it whenever you like. Each download shows your email address in small print at the bottom of every page, to discourage copying.

Your licence

When you buy an ebook, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to read and use it in your own business. You may print it and use its templates and worksheets for your own work. You may not:

• share, upload, resell or give away the files, in full or in part;
• copy the content into training material, courses or products you sell, without our written permission.

Need copies for a team? Contact us for a team licence. Free guides may be shared as a whole, with credit to UniqKnow, but not sold.

5. Refunds for ebooks

Because digital downloads are delivered instantly and can't be returned, we don't offer refunds simply for a change of mind. We will fix the problem or refund you in full if:

• the file is damaged, incomplete or won't open, and we can't send you a working copy;
• the product is materially different from its description on our website;
• you were charged twice or charged in error;
• you paid but the product never appeared in your library.

Email hello@uniqknow.co.za within 14 days of your purchase with your order details. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.

6. Subscriptions and business tools

This includes UniqKnow Invoicing and any other tool billed monthly.

• Free trial: where a free trial is offered, you won't be charged during the trial.
• Billing: subscriptions renew automatically each month on the same date until you cancel.
• Cancelling: you can cancel any time from the app or by emailing us. You keep full access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund part-months.
• Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, the tool becomes read-only from the due date until payment is made. Your data stays viewable, printable and exportable.
• Your data: UniqKnow Invoicing stores your business data on your own computer, not on our servers. You're responsible for keeping backups; the app includes automatic backup options to help.
• Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a subscription price change, so you can cancel first if you choose.

7. Our content is guidance, not professional advice

Our guides, case studies and tools share practical experience in marketing, sales and business growth. They are general guidance, not legal, tax, accounting, regulatory or financial advice. Rules such as labelling, tax and trade regulations change, so check current requirements with the relevant authority or a qualified adviser before acting. Results described in case studies were achieved in specific circumstances and aren't a promise of similar results.

If you'd like hands-on help applying a strategy, our parent company Hallo Group offers done-for-you strategy, sales and marketing services under a separate agreement.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website and in our products, including text, designs, templates, logos and the UniqKnow name, belongs to Hallo Group (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. Buying a product gives you the licence in section 4, not ownership of the content.

9. Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to break into the website, interfere with its security, scrape content in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful.

10. Liability

We work hard to keep our products accurate and the website available, but we can't guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product concerned in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act that can't legally be excluded.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date shown above; purchases already made are governed by the terms in place when you bought. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
